At one point, I was obsessed with following those 10-step skincare routines that promised flawless skin. I’d cleanse, tone, exfoliate, and apply serums that cost more than my monthly rent. But after months of frustration and zero results, I decided to stop. I stripped my routine down to the basics: a gentle cleanser, a good moisturizer, and sunscreen. To my surprise, my skin started improving. It felt less irritated and looked brighter. I realized that all those extra steps were just causing more damage than good. By simplifying my routine, I gave my skin the time it needed to heal and recover. Now, I’m all about quality over quantity, and I’m happier than ever with my glowing skin. If you’re over-complicating your skincare, consider scaling back. Sometimes less really is more.
